SRK Argentina opens its Department of Mine Planning

Following the 2011 business plan, SRK Argentina hired Mr. Mario Baudino to head the area of Mine Planning in Mendoza. Mario Baudino is a mining engineer with more than 15 years of experience in exploration, mine planning and design of open pits for non-ferrous mines. He also has experience in environmental impact assessment, environmental management and mine closure plans.

 

Mario already won his first project for Loma Negra, the biggest cement producer in Argentina. He shall perform some designs for two quarries in San Juan, Argentina. The project includes the design of the access roads, the feasibility of the quarrying plan for 1.2M tons per year and the selection of the quarry equipment. This new area joins the existing departments of Environmental Services, Geology, Geotechnics, Civil, Structural and Earthquake Engineering to complete the range of services that SRK Argentina is currently offering to current and future customers within mining and construction industries.
