Approach
Our geologists combine their skills in structural and geological interpretation of ore deposits with the application of new innovative modelling packages to construct dynamic, 3D geological models used for resource estimation. This creates a unique synergy between the interpretation of geological data and 3D model construction, and enables fast and seamless incorporation of results into resource and reserve estimation, mine planning and exploration targeting.
Our 3D modelling approach is unique. The controlled evaluation of disparate datasets within a single 3D environment can unlock the true value potential of client’s data.
Our approach to resource and reserve estimation combines strengths in structural and ore deposit geology with extensive mining operational experience. Resource models for exploration, feasibility studies, operating mines and evaluations are based on a sound understanding of the underlying geological systems. Our geostatistical specialists select and expertly apply the estimation methodology most appropriate to the context of the resource evaluation.
With the advent of faster and more powerful computers, which make it possible to use advanced techniques for resource estimation, our team has developed a deep understanding of the classical and advanced geostatistical techniques. We have links to companies developing advanced geostatistical and 3D geological modelling software, including Leapfrog software which we developed under a joint venture agreement with Applied Research Associates of New Zealand; we have many advanced users of these packages.
